Although politics, for about a century, has divided the Terra d’Otranto into three provinces, they were and will remain united forever by the cult of the Negroamaro. A vigorous vine, with an almost always abundant production, from which a garnet-red coloured wine with a pleasant bitterish taste is obtained and which is present in about half of the PDOs in Puglia.
What makes the difference are nature and man. The hard work of the vine-dressers adds a not insignificant touch, and in the cellar varies the percentage of the other vines that make up the PDO. And this is what happens with the Squinzano PDO: Salento and yet different from its neighbors.
