We are in the land of wines already praised in antiquity by Pliny. “Brundisium” and its natural port Brindisi as a junction, connected to the Appian Way, have always represented the millenary routes of wine, to be shared with the crusaders who left from here for the Holy Land. In short, it is a PDO that seals a tradition for ‘merum’ , latin name for wine, that is among the oldest in Apulia.

The art of blending grape varieties already in the field, and later in the cellar, has among its protagonists the Negroamaro, which dominates the Salento and here combines admirably with the grapes of Susumaniello, for example, which in recent decades has been increasingly valued for its peculiarities.
