Aleatico di Puglia PDO represents a sweet red thread that unites all of Puglia, where the tradition of dry almond paste pastries and red fruit jam tarts remain its classic accompaniment at the table.
For this elegant red wine end of the meal, the production regulations provide for the following typologies:
Aleatico di Puglia PDO Natural Sweet is produced with at least 85% of Aleatico grapes and then a maximum of 15% of Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Primitivo. In the glass, it is characterized by a more or less intense garnet red color, with violet reflections and tending to orange with ageing. It has a delicate, characteristic aroma that becomes more intense and ethereal with age, moderately sweet, full and velvety taste.
Total Alcohol: 15%.
Aleatico di Puglia PDO Natural Liqueur like , although it uses the same grapes as Natural Sweet, differs in its preparation. In the glass, its red colour is more or less intense garnet with violet reflections, tending to orange with ageing; on the nose it is delicate, characteristic, ethereal and intense becoming richer with the passing of the years , on the palate it is sweet, full, warm, well balanced and pleasant.
